				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The <a href="http://washingtondc.showbizradio.com/x/cap">Cappies</a> celebrated their 2013-2014 season with a gala at the Kennedy Center on Sunday evening, June 8th. 51 productions were judged by Cappies reviewers throughout the year. The following productions, performances and technical areas were recognized as outstanding efforts for the year. 				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The nominations for the 2013-2014 Cappies Awards were announced on Monday, May 19th. The recipients will be announced on Sunday, June 8th, at the 15th Annual Cappies Gala, at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.</p>
<p>The Cappies, &#8220;Critics and Awards Program,&#8221; is a program through which high school theatre and journalism students are trained as critics, attend shows at other schools, write reviews, and publish those reviews in local publications.</p>
