Milburn Stone’s production of Shrek the Musical is well done, skillfully produced, and beautifully executed by the cast.
Even if Speech and Debate is performed in the area again, I doubt it will have the same quality that resulted from the perfect mixture of just the right cast, just the right director and staff in just the right venue.
Caroline, or Change is story-telling as probing and pointed entertainment. Make your way to the Industrial Strength Theater before it goes.
Watching Les Miserables is often a cathartic experience. While it is not perfect, the characters’ emotional dilemmas hit the gut, and by the end, the tears will flow.
This unpredictable script was also ripe with reveals and many “aha” moments. The hour and a half went by quickly in a hilariously grand performance. Highly recommended for kids of all ages.
Les Miserables is a show that can be easily made into a musical spectacle, losing its true identity and purpose. Luckily at Toby’s Dinner Theatre it shines its true art form and glorifies the name of God!
I hope it doesn’t take another five years for Maupin to put together another show.
Altogether The Flying Muskrat’s Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) was quite fun, for lovers (and haters) of Shakespeare.
