Helen Hayes Awards Nominations for 2013

On Monday evening, January 27th, the names of the nominees for the 30th Annual Helen Hayes Awards were announced at the National Theatre. theatreWashington [sic] board member Glen Howard hosted the event and live webcast. 155 artists, ensembles, and productions in 27 categories from 62 productions from 27 theatres were nominated. During the 2013 season (January – December 2013), 49 professional theatre companies produced 186 productions that met Helen Hayes Awards eligibility requirements. From these shows, 143 were plays, 43 were musicals, 15 were visiting productions, 15 were Theatre for Young Audiences, and 37 were world premieres (28 new plays and nine new musicals). 

The 30th Annual Helen Hayes Awards will be held on Monday, April 21, 2014 at the National Building Museum.
