Laura: This is the ShowBizRadio podcast for May 28, 2008.
Mike: Recently we decided that we want to continue improving the quality of the ShowBizRadio website. One way we are going to to do that is by doing better reviews.
Laura: So what we would like is a broad exposure to a lot of different areas of theater. We looked at our alternatives and chose the Northern Virginia Community College Theater program.
Mike: The program will give us a Career Studies Certificate in Theater. We will be taking acting classes (which Laura has already had), work shopping, directing, sound and light design. As well as history of theater and a broad introduction to theater.
Laura: We began our courses last week and will be helping out this summer with the NoVa Woodbridge Theatre Group’s Summer production of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged).
Mike: Auditions have already been held and rehearsals began this week. So we look forward to continuing to learn more about theater this Summer.
Laura: We will be posting podcasts to update you on our progress and some of the things we have learned.
Mike: And now, on with the show.
